Mayfair bank robber sought

The man entered the Citizens Bank branch at 7327 Frankford Ave. this Saturday and stole money.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in seeking a man who robbed a bank in Mayfair June 30.

The man entered the Citizens Bank branch at 7327 Frankford Ave. at around 11:40 a.m. and demanded money from a teller. He fled on foot in an unknown direction after receiving the money.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s, standing approximately 5 feet 4 or 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a blue short-sleeve button-down shirt, shorts, sneakers, a light-colored fedora and black sunglasses.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information should contact the FBI or the PPD Violent Task Force at 215–418–4000.

A reward is offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
